Past Come Home to Columb Annual Reunion Events

Class of 1962 Gathers in Celebration of School's 125th "Birthday"

Members of the Class of 1962 and friends gathered on May 21, 2026, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Saint Columbkille School. The festivities began at the Veronica B. Smith Senior Center in Brighton before continuing to the Corrib for lunch and fellowship.

Highlights of the celebration included a special performance by students from the Saint Columbkille Partnership School Theater Club, as well as remarks from former school leaders Sr. Mary Oates and Sr. Maria Delaney and current Head of School Jen Kowieski. Jim Downey also shared several original videos featuring beloved neighborhood landmarks from years past, including the Totem Pole and Egyptian Theatre, along with a video highlighting the 125-year history of Saint Columbkille School.

Class of 1970 50th Reunion

The 1970 reunion took place on Saturday, June 4, 2022. The event included a tour of the school, Mass at St. Columbkille Church, as well as dinner at The Stockyard Restaurant.

Class of 1962 60th Reunion

The Class of 1962 reunion took place on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Many in the group walked from the Corrib over to Saint Columbkille. Various speakers spoke and updates were provided on the school. The class honored their deceased classmates and sang a song.

Class of 1971 50th Reunion

The Class of 1971 gathered at the Stockyard restaurant in Brighton to celebrate their 50th high school class reunion on Saturday, September 18, 2021. In attendance were 35 classmates, five friends of the class and one teacher, along with a number of spouses and significant others.

Class of 1962 Gathering

The Class of 1962 got together on August 12, 2021 at The Pilot House on Cape Cod. About 39 classmates attended, as well as members of the Saint Columbkille Partnership School administration, including Head of School Jen Kowieski, Assistant Head of School Rachel Rumely, and Chief Advancement & Enrollment Officer Kate Ward.

Class of 1968 50th Reunion

The class of 1968 celebrated their 50th reunion as part of the 2018 Come Home to Columb event on Saturday, June 9. They took a tour of the school, followed by mass at St. Columbkille Church. A private dinner was held at The Stockyard after the Come Home to Columb outdoor reception at the school, where the class of 1968 were honored guests. As part of their reunion celebration, the class of 1968 set a goal to raise $6,500 as a class gift that would cover the tuition for one child for one year. Class of 1962 56th Reunion

The class of 1962 enjoyed a fun activity at STCPS with grade 1 students, followed by lunch at The Corrib Pub on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Class of 1988 30th Reunion

Following Come Home to Columb 2018 on Saturday, June 9, fellow 80s graduates enjoyed a fun evening. Thank you to Kelly McGrath (’89) for planning the event.

Class of 1967 50th Reunion

Alumni are able to attend events throughout the year to remember their time at Saint Columbkille. From Grandparents Day and Legacy Night for those who currently have children or grandchildren attending the school to the annual Come Home to Columb reunion, there are a variety of ways to participate.

Each year, one class celebrates their 50th high school reunion. In November 2017, the class of 1967 kicked off their reunion with a Mass at St. Columbkille Church, followed by a tour of Saint Columbkille Partnership School. The tour included a stop at the gym, which hasn’t changed in 50 years. The evening concluded with a wonderful dinner at The Stockyard just down the street. Many thanks to Frank Lovell and his committee for organizing a great night.
