St Colin Kill partnership school is a unique Catholic school because of the incredible diversity we welcome families and children of all backgrounds my kids walk in across the crosswalk they see friendly familiar faces they're greeted by their like I think having a community is so important for a child's development because they feel safe they're a part of a team and that's something that I really Foster in my classroom that this is a team there's so many different cultures so many different languages children are exposed to a lot of different things here diversity is celebrated and accepted in our early childhood classrooms in particular our teachers are trained in how to best support children who are learning multiple languages as well as how to communicate with families who speak different languages in the home we actually Li teach social and emotional skills and development and children really respond to that because they understand that they can express their feelings but they need to do it in a kind safe way you'll hear a lot about sore and sore stands for safety owner attitude and respect we teach these values so that we know we have expectations we're being safe we're taking ownership over our belongings and our bodies we have a great attitude and that we're respectful to not only our classmates but the whole school Community they're learning how to collaborate with other students how to sort of build their own Community within the classroom and how to work together and I think that's a really important life skill that will serve them through their educational career and into their adulthood for Catholic schools in the Boston area we are 1 of the only schools to start with a 2-year 9 month program and go all the way to grade 8 our students get great continuity of getting the foundation and Early Child childhood really developing in our primary and Elementary grades and then blossoming in the middle school years we truly have enjoyed the community we've had great years with great teachers all 3 boys have gone through and Our intention is to keep them here I love walking into our early childhood classrooms because they are excellent models of play based early childhood education our children are engaged in really meaningful learning opportunities through play with 1 another through great games and activities with their teachers they love coming to school and they see learning as a really fun activity because we know once children fall in love with learning so many doors are open for them tagline for stalls like where your child is known and loved I think that's absolutely accurate I'm very proud of myself knowing that my child is here I have a few co-workers at my job so I always mentioned the school whenever they asked me hey do you know any good schools that my child can go to and like this is the number 1 School as we look to the future of St Colin Hill partnership school we will draw on the rich over 120 years of history and tradition and we will continue to be leaders in Catholic Education and so I certainly hope you'll join us
