During the final prayer service on the last day of the 2025–2026 school year, the Saint Columbkille Partnership School community recognized three beloved staff members celebrating milestone years of service: Sr. Catherine Delaney, SNDdeN, for 30 years; K2 teaching assistant Joan Aucoin for 20 years; and school custodian Carlos Valenzuela for 10 years.
Each honoree was presented with flowers and a commemorative plaque in gratitude for their years of service and dedication to our students, families, and school. The celebration became especially memorable when students began chanting their names, a joyful reminder of the lasting impact Sr. Catherine, Joan, and Carlos have made throughout our community.
“What makes Sr. Catherine, Joan, and Carlos so special is not simply the remarkable 60 years they have collectively given to Saint Columbkille, but the care, joy, and commitment they bring to our community each day,” said Head of School Jen Kowieski. “They remind us of the words of the Ignatian prayer Teach Me to Be Generous: to give generously and to serve without counting the cost. Saint Columbkille is such a welcoming and caring community thanks to people like them!”
