May Procession Tradition Continues

It is a tradition at Saint Columbkille Partnership school to honor Mary each May. Typically the whole school processes around the grounds of the school, and Mary is crowned with flowers. This year, on May 17, 2021, although we had to be more separate, the tradition continued. Led by the 8th graders from Loyola, the 2nd grade students carried flowers to Mary and gathered to say the Hail Mary as Father Chris blessed our Statue on the Plaza. Throughout the day, each class made their own procession to the plaza where they honored Mary with flowers and prayers! The remote students participated as well with drawings of flowers to commemorate the occasion. View a video of the event below:
